New York Cares x TENZ Coat Drive @ Lambda Lounge

TENz has partnered with New York Cares for the 3rd year to support the annual New York Cares Coat Drive.

Our goal was to create a dynamic visual campaign that would catch the attention of the QTPOC community and drive donations with tag line – “Donate A Fab Coat. We know you have a few!”

On January 11th  TENz collected over 200 coats at Lamda Lounge in association with the No Bad News party where attendees enjoyed beats, food, cocktails, and a visual tribute to queer recording artists + performers of color from past and present.
Guests & Influencers included radio host Roxie Digital, designer Kingsley, stylist & DJ Mazurbate, rapper Cakes Da Killa, hairstylist TIMUR, commentator Leggoh Jovera, designer Elias Gurrola, recording artist Jayse Vegas, Diva Davanna, with sound by DJ Byrell The Great and performance by SEVN Deep (Break My Back)
Special thanks to Fashion Week Brooklyn, OTA, Trappy Hour, The Stylemonsters & Major Face.
About New York Cares
The Coat Drive is a city-wide effort run by New York Cares which aims to collect over 100,000 coats each year and distribute them to New Yorkers who need them most in the colder months. The Coat Drive has been running for 30 years and this year will proudly deliver its 2 millionth coat.
What Does New York Cares Do With The Coats?
New York Cares works hand-in-hand with a wide variety of Community Partners across New York City to make sure donated coats are distributed to New Yorkers who need them as quickly as possible. Our Community Partners include nonprofit social service agencies, public schools, religious institutions, and transitional housing shelters – all of which serve some of our city’s most vulnerable populations.
