HBO Max Is Going To Make You Legendary

Ballroom’s road to mainstream has hit it’s next stop. HBO Max has announced the lineup of judges and format for their new unscripted voguing competition series Legendary.
In the 10-episode Legendary, from Scout Productions (Queer Eye), house will battle for the chance to win a cash prize in ballroom category themed challenges to ultimately achieve “Legendary” status. Legendary will feature 10 voguing “houses,” each comprised of five performers and a house mother or father. The teams rotate in a round-robin format, and each episode documents a themed ball from start to finish.
The series will feature ballroom legends and icons voguer Amazon Leiomy Maldonado as permanent judge, voguer Dashaun “Lanvin” Wesley as Ball MC/ Commentator,  and DJ MikeQ will pump the beats for the gurls to carry and pose.
Additional stars include Actress Jameela Jamil of The Good Place and The Misery Index, Rap princess Megan Thee Stallion and stylist to the stars Law Roach.
Filming begins this week, and we will be inviting ballroom participants to tapings of the episodes and after functions. Follow @tenzmag on instagram for those updates.
