“It literally must be so exhausting being the most c*nt bitch” – Aliyah’s Interlude
On the final Sunday of Pride Month, over 20,000 attendees gathered under the “K” Bridge in Brooklyn for the highly anticipated return of LadyLand Festival, a genre-defying two day celebration of queer nightlife, music, and culture. Curated by NYC nightlife legend Ladyfag, known for her seminal parties Battle Hymn and Holy Mountain, this year’s event was nothing short of a cultural phenomenon.
With a gag-worthy DJ lineup and a dynamic mix of boundary-pushing artists, LadyLand 2025 cemented its reputation as a mecca for underground and queer expression. Headliners included Tokischa, Tinashe, Cakes Da Killa, Tama Gucci, Aliyah’s Interlude, and Arca. In a surprise appearance that sent the crowd into a frenzy, Madonna graced the stage, declaring “NYC Pride is the most important day of the year”. The weekend also featured high-voltage camp and drag excellence with RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Kandy Muse and Bob the Drag Queen lighting up the main stage and co-hosting segments for LadyLand TV. Madonna’s 11-year-old daughter, DJ Queen Estere, made her official DJ debut under the guidance of the legendary DJ Mary Mac, bringing next-generation energy to the decks.
The crowd got their 10z on night two when MCs Dashaun Basquiat and Kevin Prodigy announced a a jaw-dropping Vogue Battle on The Fist Stage, with competing houses including House of Balenciaga, House of Tisci, House of Alpha Omega, and House of Miyake Mugler. A surprise judges panel added to the gag, featuring none other than Tokischa, Bob the Drag Queen, Sevdaliza, and Madonna herself.
From club kids to ballroom legends, LadyLand 2025 was an ovah, inclusive, and unapologetically queer celebration—honoring every facet of the LGBTQ+ creative spectrum.
